Thankful Thursday - Mike's Story
Diagnosed with epilepsy at age 5, I spent years navigating it largely on my own. In 2022, I discovered Empowering Epilepsy and the kind of support I wish had existed when I had brain surgery in 2011. Through support groups, education, and community events, they connect people living with epilepsy in powerful ways. Each year I organize a team for the Gunselman’s Tavern Leprechaun Chase to help support their mission and bring more awareness to epilepsy.
