FACES College Scholarship Program
FACES annually provides partial financial support for the education of incoming freshmen or currently enrolled undergraduate/graduate students affected by epilepsy and seizure disorders. The award amounts will vary and will not exceed $2,500 per student, depending on the applicant’s financial need. We are seeking to recognize the personal accomplishments of those living with epilepsy during their college journey.
Past scholarship recipients are welcome to apply again.
To apply, submit your application and all supporting documents by Monday, June 27, 2022.

Microsoft DisAbility Scholarship
The disAbility Scholarship at Microsoft delivers on the mission of Microsoft’s cross disability employee resource group to empower and enable people with disabilities. This scholarship enables high school students with disabilities to go to college and target a career in the technology industry. In addition, we hope to contribute to increasing the pool of persons living with a disability enrolling in higher education and, in the long term, decrease the unemployment bias for this demographic.
This scholarship will be awarded to promising high school seniors who plan to attend a vocational or academic college and have a financial need. The amount of this non-renewable scholarship to be awarded is $5,000, which is paid through the Seattle Foundation on behalf of the disAbility Employee Resource Group (ERG) at Microsoft to the recipient’s school’s Financial Aid Office.
Taylor Huth Memorial Scholarship Program
A college scholarship fund set up by the family and friends of Benjamin “Taylor” Huth to remember and celebrate Taylor’s zeal and love for life.
Through The Epilepsy Alliance Ohio. You must live in the surrounding area to apply.
A college scholarship fund set up by the family and friends of Benjamin “Taylor” Huth to remember and celebrate Taylor’s zeal and love for life. This is a 1 year – $1,500 scholarship honoring local, outstanding students who have overcome or are working to overcome the challenges of epilepsy. Click here or the link above to learn how to apply. UCB Family Epilepsy Scholarship Program
In 2023, UCB will award 30 scholarships of up to $5,000 and three scholarships of up to $10,000 to people living with epilepsy, their family members, and caregivers pursuing higher education.
Thirty applicants who demonstrate academic and personal achievement will receive scholarships of up to $5,000 each. Two applicants will receive Epilepsy Leader Scholarships of up to $10,000 each honoring the late Sandra Helmers, MD, MPH, and the late John M. Pellock, MD, two prominent figures in the epilepsy community who passed away in 2016. Additionally, UCB will award one applicant the Joe D’Souza Memorial Scholarship of up to $10,000. This scholarship was created in 2019 in memory of UCB’s global medical director.
The recipients of the Epilepsy Leader Scholarships and the Joe D’Souza Memorial Scholarship will demonstrate academic and personal achievement and will also exemplify some of the qualities that Drs. Helmers and Pellock were best known for, including a desire to advocate for and serve others, an interest in positively contributing to the epilepsy community, and a persevering spirit.
Applications for the 2023 scholarship program are due Friday, March 31, 2023.
